WHY GREEN?

 

Indoor Air Quality
Indoor air pollutants are a silent threat, often two to five times higher than outdoor pollutant levels. There is growing concern about the harmful effects of formaldehyde vapors, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and heavy metals. These harmful irritants are found in traditional solvent-based finishing materials.

Low Emitting Materials
When formaldehyde is present in the air at or above 0.1 ppm, health effects can occur including watery eyes, burning sensations in the eyes, nose and throat, nausea, coughing, chest tightness, wheezing, skin rashes, or even more several ailments if neglected.

Corporate Responsibility
Partnerships with third-party green accrediting organizations are critical. The Foresttry Stewardship Council (FSC) lends credibility and ensures accountability regarding a manufacturer's commitment to environmentally responsible forestry practices.

  EcoFriendly Cabinetry 3/4" PureBond plywood cases use formaldehyde-free, adhesives and solvent-free, UV-coated natural birch wood interiors. All glues and adhesives are waterbased and formaldehyde-free. This insures that your cabinets are the most durable and healthy in the industry.
• Waterborne Finishes
  We at Executive Cabinetry pride ourselves in producing our cabinetry utilizing waterborne stains, paints, and coatings that emit 0% harmful pollutants and irritants.
• EcoFriendly Materials
  Lyptus wood, bamboo plywood and reconstituted veneers are used.
  • Lyptus Wood
    Lyptus eco-sensitive products from Brazil are known for their workability, machining properties, density, finish ability, overall strength, and exotic appeal. The eucalyptus trees are grown on plantations certified to Brazil's national sustainable forestry standard, CERFLOR. This standard has been recognized by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), an international organization that endorses credible sustainable forestry programs.
  • Bamboo Plywood
    Bamboo is a grass that grows to a harvestable height of 60 feet in three to five years, growing as much as two feet a day. It has an extensive root system that continually sends up new shoots, naturally replenishing itself. It does not require replanting, making it one of the most renewable Resources known. Bamboo is a sustainable and ecologically responsible alternative to the widespread clear cutting of our world's precious timberland.
