Zero Formaldehyde
Indoor air pollutants are a silent threat, often two to five times higher than outdoor pollutant levels. There is growing concern about the harmful effects of formaldehyde vapors emitted by particle boards, fiberboard, and plywood products made with adhesives containing urea-formaldehyde resins.
EcoFriendly® Cabinetry contains zero formaldehyde adhesives in its 3/4" plywood construction and solid wood doors and drawers, and waterborne stains, paints and coatings. Choosing EcoFriendly® Cabinetry for your kitchen and bath helps to eliminate the danger of harmful formaldehyde vapors from your home.
Zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
Kitchen and bath cabinetry with solvent-based finishes can emit VOCs for a considerable period of time after installation. EcoFriendly® Cabinetry protects the earth by eliminating VOCs by finishing with water-borne stains, paints and coatings, thereby protecting your family and friends from the harmful effects of toxic exposure.
EcoFriendly® Cabinetry uses no solvent-based stains or coatings, known for emitting formaldehyde and other VOC chemicals. EcoFriendly® Cabinetry is guaranteed to be 100% free of VOC emissions.
Zero Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs)
EcoFriendly® Cabinetry exceeds all Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer's Association (KCMA) standards for hazardous air pollutants in its 3/4" plywood construction, solid wood doors and drawers, and water-borne stains, paints and coatings. EcoFriendly® Cabinetry uses no particle board or medium density fiberboard (MDF).
Renewable Wood Products
Renewable wood products are the primary material for cabinetmaking. EcoFriendly® plywood panels carry the Forest Stewardship Council certification and qualify toward the U.S. Green Building Council LEED™ green building program requirements.
