Kitchen and Bathroom Color Trends

Kitchen and Bathroom Color Design

You may have read in KBC’s recent Color of the Year blog post that Pantone has chosen Classic Blue as its color of the year for 2020. While Pantone Color Institute is the “go-to” source when it comes to color, other color and design experts weigh in on what’s trending for 2020.

It is not surprising that paint companies like Sherwin-Williams, PPG, and Sico’s top shade choices for 2020 closely align with Pantone’s Classic Blue. However, paint companies such as Behr have chosen a color palette inspired by natural elements.

According to Kitchen & Bath Design News, today’s hottest hues are all about earthy colors that offer warmth, clarity, and a connection to nature. The wellness trend has created inspiration for these colors. People are gravitating to soothing shades and “feel-good” hues. These colors range from neutrals and earthy greens to pastels and bold shades.

In the kitchen, designers are using bold and interesting colors like orange-brown, amber, and saffron. These colors are being used on countertops, appliances, and fixtures. In the bath, darker woods are trending.

Are you thinking about freshening up your kitchen or bathroom space this year? Which colors will you use?
